Well i just hopped on a new lease. I was not asked to stay on this year because as it was put, I HUNT LIKE A PROFESSIONAL HUNTER! Apparantly i killed too many animals last year! the lease holder told me he wants people on his lease that only hunt a few times a year and doesnt want anyone who knows how too hunt. well i guess Ryley and i go our monies worth with 2 bucks, Ryleys 1st doe, 26 huge hogs and my 1st osceola turkey! i was gonna lay low this year but i was asked to join up on the lease directly across the street. Very nice guy, told me to hunt all i want and have fun with my boy and thats alright with me so im settled in and ready to start all over again on my quest for the mighty whitetail! Brett where are ya dude? i got a spot on the lease for ya if ya want it. call me. good luck to all of my good friends on here this year i wish you the best and of course the leader of the pack, Mr Hanback.

Kahuna, thats pretty stupid that they did that. Good deal that you got on one across the street! Did you do any hunting last year on your 40 acres? I know you had been working hard on it in the past. Good luck to you guys this year as well. We are just getting our food plots in now....man it gets me fired up!

Believe it or not, that is why I have always shied away from leases. Most members, (not all), of clubs you can easily get into, and afford, like to sit back and hunt easy. The last thing they want is a new guy coming in and hunting it hard while they are sitting at home.

Congrats on the new lease though..sounds like a better setup all around.

hey man. sorry to hear about that, glad I didn't get in. Glad you are basically hunting the same spot though. Wish I knew about it about a month ago. I got on a lease in north Florida. Been there twice now and have taken 4 nice hogs out of it, nothing compared to the size of yours. 112 was the biggest so far. Just set up feeders and cams last week though.

Hey, Dave, things are lookin pretty good. i like it here alot more than the other place across the road. my food plot is done except for seed which ill do next weekend. these places arnt like bein on a farm or a nice wooded tract. i dont see a bunch of deer but their there. its pretty tuff huntin and i know alot of the things i post dont seem to exciting but its all i got down here in sunny fla. lol. but i truly love it and i really enjoy huntin with my son and all i can do is learn everything i can and try to figure this place out! Hope all is goin good for you.
