Performance Underwear

I'm sure alot of us use Under Armor. I was wondering if anyone has stuff they like better than it. I was a polypro guy until my last pair (Medalist) shrunk about 6 inches vertically after washing it the first time. I love the Under Armor stuff and use Cold Gear right now. Hs anyone tried the Metal version or some of their other offerings?

The Arctic Shield silver base layers are great. They offer scent control and warmth. Not as costly as the under armor either.

Thanks Brett. I had no idea Arctic Shield made underwear. I've always liked their stuff and am planning on buying a pair of their boot blankets this year. I'll check them out.

I get cold easy so I layer.

Base layer is Under Armour Cold Gear (surely I am not the only one disapointed the first time they used it...)

Next is Cabela's Thermastat Expidetion weight long underwear. They are REMARKABLEY warm for such a thin garment! I HIGHLY reccomend them.

Over that I wear a Cabela's Wind Shear turleneck, covered by Scent Blocker ProTec fleece suit of a Scent Lok Full Season suit.

I kinda like bows and stuff........

NY911, you really didn't like it much when you used it? Maybe it was such a huge improvement over my other crap that I was easily impressed. lol.

I layer alot too. My walks in tend to be kinda long and I sweat up if I don't dress light. I generally go shirt sleeves only in warm weather and just my Under Armor in cold weather. I pack the rest of my clothes in. There was someone on the blog last year that used to walk into his stands in just his long underwear top and bottom in cold weather. Hard core, man.

I should say, that for stationary hunting, ie; in the stand or blind, I found that Cold Gear is NOT the "magic bullet" it was initially made out to be. The first night I wore it on stand under a Dream Season suit I absolutely froze my ass off. I still wear it as a base layer only because I already have it. When it wears out I do not think I will be replacing it.

I will look to the bas layer offerings from Scent Blocker/Scent Lok

I kinda like bows and stuff........

I used to use Under Armour and it worked well. Still looking for something a little more comfortable. I stumbled across www.firstlite.com I am here to tell you that there is absolutely nothing better for the hunter. It is pricey but worth saving your pennies for.
