Walmart Limits Ammo to 3 Boxes

Wal-Mart stores across America are limiting ammo purchases to 3 boxes per person per day. I have been telling you about the ammo shortages we face for more than a year, but this should drive it home, as Wal-Mart is the nation's largest seller of guns and ammo.

In related news, this story reveals just how big a problem we have. In Nashville, Tenn. you can't find a box of .22 or 9 mm anywhere in the city. I suspect it's like that in many places. And I'll add that .223 ammo is probably high on the shortage list.

I hope you've been stocking up as needed.

Ben's Gravatar Getting scarce in AR too! It's hard to even find a box of .22LR shells.

Jim's Gravatar My lgs is selling bricks of .22lr for $49.95 that would have sold before for $20.00. I passed....

I always keep ammo on hand and had plenty before the "run" began. I did come across a couple of bricks of .22lr @ BassPro the other day. They
were marked @ the "pre-panic" price so I did purchase those. Other than that, I'm staying out of the fray...........

Hopefully things will ease up in a few months.......

Big Daddy's Gravatar I reload my own ammo and have componets on hand for a minimum of 1000 rounds for every caliberand gauge I own. I also have 8000 rounds of 22LR and 1500 rounds of
22 mag on hand. It sure looks like Washington is going to try and tax us out of the shooting sports.

Mack's Gravatar I reload as well and have components for the forseable future. I won't be plinking anywhere near as much. I'll be tuning up with my nice air gun- quiet cheap and will kill the garden vermin as dead as a CB Cap.I don't know where we will really end up, but we have to be prepared for the future. GA has shortages as well.

northeasthunter's Gravatar I live in CT & after Newtown shooting Dicks (on their own) pulled all firearms from the shelf & haven't stocked any ammo either. Just wondering if these stores are taking it upon them selves to regulate gun & ammo sales for political reasons. Just saying... If they are maybe we should start to support our smaller gun stores/dealers even though you might pay a little more & forget the Walmart & Dicks.

Scott from MI's Gravatar Your pretty lucky to find any .223 rounds as well. Maybe some premium rounds. Already starting to see .243 rounds being sold out and hard to get as well. Crazy

Cary Dion's Gravatar Being of the prepared mindset, I have a rather large cabinet filled to the hilt with ammo.

Big Daddy's Gravatar I have been on record as saying "SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL GUN SHOP" big box stores may be a dollar or two cheaper but it's the local guy whom you can count
on when the crap hits the fan.

doubledroptines's Gravatar Again, another move to accomodate the antis. In reality all it is hurting is your local law abiding hunter/gun enthusiast. Any nut can hold off on his spree for a week and have bought 21 boxes of ammo (more than enough historically for any rampage). Just plain dumb.

Big Daddy's Gravatar I have no data to support this but I will hazard a guess that Wally World adopted the 3 box limit more to the end of fairness than stiffeling a terrorist attack.
