Weird Deer Legs!

Last fall my buddy Nick’s daughter shot a buck with 5 legs; as you can see in the picture, one of the legs had 2 feet/hooves!

Also, several people have emailed me this buck with legs growing and flopping out its back. I believe it was shot last year, but I don’t know where.

What’s up with these deer? Well, the double feet at top is perhaps just a genetic malfunction. But according to the research I've done, scientists say when legs grow out of a deer's body, they were likely those of a twin that didn’t form all the way.

I’m wondering how common 5 or 6 legged deer are? Probably not very, it all my years of hunting and traveling and looking at bucks, I have never seen it first-hand. Has anybody?

Weird man. comment
