2012 Arkansas Monster Buck!

Did you catch the new site design that we had up over the weekend? After a short test drive to see what worked and what didn't, we're going back to the old blog for now while we tweak the new site. We'll have the new one up and running soon, thanks for your patience.--MH

Now back to posting about Big Deer:

Word is this giant was shot in a river bottom in northeast Arkansas last season. Hopefully the hunter will see this and contact me with the hunt details. Awesome buck, love the long beams and stickers...even a bloody drop! Whole lot of character to that rack.

Matt's Gravatar I love all those kickers! So cool.

The new site looks great. The layout is very clean and easy to follow. I also enjoyed the short video's...definitely keep those coming!

One note...under "big buck stories" the thumbnails were pretty small and some of the bucks were barely visible. Making those expandable would be perfect!

MAVERICK's Gravatar This buck has got it all!! Check out that mass and great tine length. The river bottoms of Arkansas and Mississippi have really been producing a lot more trophy deer in the past couple years. I think QDM is finally sinking in with many people in the south and the bucks are proof of that. Mike the site looks great man, Have you ever done any whitetail hunting in the Deep South?

BJ's Gravatar Best looking buck you've posted this season Mike! Hope you can locate the hunter; love to hear the story of that hunt and see some more photos.

Loved the new website - like the format, especially the easier template for posting comments. Like others, I'm looking forward to sporting some new Big Deer gear around camp this spring/next fall.

MAVERICK's Gravatar In the past five years the Mississippi archery typical record has been broken 3 times. More Booner bucks taken with each season that passes and we're starting to really see some nice deer come out of our state consistently. Here's the new archery title holder http://www.ms-sportsman.com/details.php?id=2065

Tyler Garrard's Gravatar That is an awesome buck but I am pretty sure that was the buck killed on Giles Island. It looks like that buck and he scored 230something. Shoot me a e-mail address and I will send you the pics I have of the buck.

MAVERICK's Gravatar Tyler it's a much different buck, here's a pic of the Giles Island buck which is another great Mississippi deer. He's going to net around 225 after the drying period. http://www.ms-sportsman.com/details.php?id=2025 Awesome Palmation on this buck from Giles Island.
