Saskatchewan Monster Typical Buck--203!

My sources in SK (thanks Grant and Brandon) tell me this giant was shot by a local hunter near Paradise Hill. It reportedly scores green 203. Look closely. Had the brows and G-2s been longer it would have been in new world-record territory!  comment

Paul-NJ's Gravatar Trying my luck at Paradise Hill next year after 3 very large bucks at Green Lake. This is encouraging to say the least. Let's hope for
a fairly mild winter as far as Saskatchewan is concerned.

Curt's Gravatar What a brute! I believe that record will fall in the near future.

David in NC's Gravatar No doubt that 1 short G2 hurt him. At first glance, that deer looks larger than 203 to me. He's got lots of points, good symmetry, and lots of mass. Plenty wide, and good tine length on most of the points. I guess long brows are about all it lacks.

Luke Strommen's Gravatar WOW! Like all of you, I have been obsessed with whitetail racks and sheds for a very long time and it never ceases to amaze me how
little it takes to add up a score...a little here, a little there...bit more brow, matching g2's...this is obviously on the same pedastal as the
Hanson buck and possibly more impressive with it's mass. Very cool. Thanks for sharing, Mike.

hanback's Gravatar one thing that fascinates is how every mega rack has pluses and minuses, in this case short brows
and sorta short tines, though who will complain about this monster. my point and I have talked with
many whitetails scientists about it is that it will be the ultra-rare breed that has it all to net past 213
typical without junk and deductions.

hanback's Gravatar no doubt greg, i bet had hanson buck grown to 5 he'd put on non-typ junk!

NHBOWHUNTER's Gravatar Unbelievable buck. 203 is an incredible number but I give the guy holding the deer a 206 for his beard. Got to keep the bearded brothers united. The untamed beard during deer season is like a beard for playoff hockey. You just got to let it do its thing till you tag out of the season is over. Congrats again on that BIG BUCK

Rick from PA's Gravatar What a stud and the guy in the picture is one cool dude!! I hunted in Paradise Hill last year and Kyle(beardman) will work harder than anyone to try and get you a big deer! Paul no worries as Paradise Hill area is prime big buck habitat. I hunted up at Green Lake one year as well and it was awesome but if you look at the number of hunters between the two camps I feel that Paradise Hill produced better deer over the years. I was shocked to read about Grant and him losing the Green Lake area!!

BOLT's Gravatar "Had the brows and G-2's been longer..." Yeah, and how many of you would have let that buck walk for that reason!?!? Awesome buck!!

Paul-NJ's Gravatar Rick- All is not lost yet with Grant and Green Lake. Things have a way of working out. I appreciate the info on Paradise Hill. After 3 trips it might be time for a new spot anyway. Maybe I will get Kyle as a guide? Gosh I love those bucks up there! Keep the stories coming Hanback!

Mack's Gravatar Hey Luke- With my luck, if I'd seen that big boy with my recurve, the bow would have cracked when I drew it. or the bear Razor heads would have turned on the thick skin. What a beauty it is, but like Greg I'd have passed to get at something with nice brows............
