ebrown's Gravatar Yep, you will have my support as well Mike. Cant wait.

Hanback, what goes thru your mind when you are watching your own shows in prime time? Does it take you back to the hunt? That has to be a one of a kind of feeling knowing that thousands upon thousands are watching your hunts come together.

Mark (NC)'s Gravatar Great episode Mike. Deer EVERYWHERE. Loved the real action. Hilarious stare down with a big buck. You could have hunted with a knife some of those deer were so close.

dan's Gravatar Enjoyed your hunt on the milk river but y did i see Steve shoot a 9 pointer and say he was down and at the recovery he had a 13 pointer????
# Posted By dan | 9/3/10 10:50 PM
Mark (NC)'s Gravatar Reverse ground shrinkage. LOL!
# Posted By Mark (NC) | 9/3/10 11:07 PM
hanback's Gravatar mainframe 9 or 10, with stickers that got it to 13, pretty buck
# Posted By hanback | 9/3/10 11:34 PM
dan's Gravatar the buck shot was a clean 9 point with chocolate colored horns w/ heavy brows. the buck recovered was a wide light colored buck with short brows.
# Posted By dan | 9/3/10 11:38 PM
dan's Gravatar it is totally obvious that its a different deer. i noticed it right away on live tv then upon rewinding i just about flew out of my chair
# Posted By dan | 9/4/10 12:03 AM
dan's Gravatar did anyone tag that beautiful 9 pointer or did u leave it for the coyotes? Because according to "Steve" if that's his real name, the deer went down right away.

David in NC's Gravatar Just watched the show, I had it DVR'ed. Mike, looks like you had another great hunt. Great hunt with a beautiful buck to top it off.

I hate to be negative, but unfortunately I agree with Dan. There's no question the pre-shot footage of your partner's deer and the actual recovery are two completely different deer. Both deer are great deer, but they aren't the same deer. In fact, not even close. Again, fun show, but that clip just doesn't portray what really happened.

hanback's Gravatar I have checked with my producers and Dan is right, there were 2 different bucks. Along with all of you, tonight was the first night I had ever seen this episode, and until
Dan brought it up, I didn't notice that they had dropped in a second buck from stock footage, sometimes they do that to make a bridge in the footage. but the fact is that
the buck he posed with on the ground was the one he shot and tagged, I am 100 percent sure of that. sorry for the confusion.

Cody's Gravatar I didn't notice the different deer. I was eating homemade pizza during the show so I crammed my face during his hunt so I c ould focus on yours!! hahaha I have to say I really enjoyed the show. And I probably would have peed myself if I had a stare down with a bug buck like that one Mike. Great shot on a great buck. I liked the fact that you experienced buck fever after it and it was noticeable. I think that's one of the best parts about it.

Buckwheat and Flatlander, I feel the same way about the Bucks of Tec. I really don't feel like they hunt to hunt, they hunt to just to shoot giant deer and it seems like they frown upon shooting anything smaller than once in a lifetime for anyone else. Their excitement, (not kissing butt but unlike Mike's last night) never looks real and the acting sucks. I've never enjoyed the show. And if anyone did watch it, did you get the impression that we aren't supposed to experience buck fever? If I ever don't experience I'm quitting!! Hunting is the only thing on earth that gets me that excited..

Cody

Buckwheat's Gravatar Cody, I hear ya. If I stop experiencing "Buck Fever" I'm done hunting too. Those deer are like chickens to Tecomte boys, and nice $20 million lodge. Where's the tents and beat up house trailers for deer camp?
# Posted By Buckwheat | 9/4/10 11:44 AM
Mark (NC)'s Gravatar I was just watching the show not taking notes. I didn't know there would be a test.

Keith's Gravatar Enjoyed your hunt on the milk river but y did i see Steve shoot a 9 pointer and say he was down and at the recovery he had a 13 pointer????

it wasn't the same buck. I had this particular episode (the milk river, Mike was bow hunting from the ground, and the other guy was hiding behind an old corral) set up to record and didn't watch it till last night. It DEFINITLY WAS NOT the same buck. the buck he shot was a dark horned 9pt w/ really good eye guards. the buck he recovered had light colored horns and had maybe 3 inch eye guards.
