Thoughts: No surprise hunters love their Remington rifles (notably Model 700) and ammo (Core-Lokt); they are time-tested on the range and in the woods; I’m proud to shoot Remington on "Buck Stops Here" TV for sure… T/C no surprise… Bowtech sort of a surprise, I knew they were strong, but not that strong; I have never hunted with a Bowtech, but people who do love those bows (tell me if you do)…. Muzzy hanging strong amid all the hype and promotion of Rage and other expandables… I didn’t realize Primos has more than a third market share (this survey at least), but it doesn’t surprise me, I like those guys and they have always built good, quality calls and promoted them responsibly to the everyday hunter like you and me.

Mike,

I started shooting a Bowtech Guardian 2 years ago and I love it. I have killed 2 Ohio P&Y deer with it in the last 2 years. I tried all the other brands prior to buying this bow, and the Bowtech felt the best for me.

I am also a Remington guy and also have a T/C muzzleloader and a couple Buck knives.

I have been shooting a Bowtech General for 1 1/2 seasons now and I plan on keeping this bow for many seasons to come... it is remarkably smooth during both the draw and release cycles. This bow has never let me down so far.

The list looks good to me, Mike. Reads like an inventory of my closet. I'm surprised there wasn't a scope on the list though. My guess it would have been a Leupold.

I love all three of my remington rifles, handguns I am torn I love my Glock and HK for a semi-auto, but cant beat the Ruger for a true pistol. Muzzleloader I am a diehard T/C user. And archery I am a always going to use and love Hoyt, just last month bought the new Maxxis.

I first hunted turkey with Will 20 yrs ago, have enjoyed his company and calls ever since, though we
have not hunted together much in recent years. I like the way he runs and protrays his call business and video
and TV projects, good stuff

Just got my first Remington. Traded an AR-15 for a mdl 700 .243 with a bull barrel for coyotes. I haven't shot it yet, we'll see how it goes. Can't go wrong apparently. I'm a big Savage guy for my deer rifle. I am definitely a Primos guy. Love their products & videos. My bow is a cheap Martin that does the trick with the Muzzys, 1 shot 1 kill. Knife? I don't carry a knife since I got big enuff to kill a man with my fist! Handgun is a Spingfield Arms .40 cal.

I have an TC Omega. I was thinking about getting a Bone Collector. Anyone have any thoughts? I am getting a new scope for mine, but if I have to sight it in, might as well put it on the gun I want (I think).

Bowtech is a surprise to me. Like you mike, I know they are a big company but didn't know they were more popular than hoyt, mathews or pse. I ordered my first bowtech last week (Destroyer 340), Can't wait to get it in and start shooting. Everything else on the list I somehwat expected. The only other thing might be the ammo, I could see either remmington or winchester winning that battle.

matt, you';re prob gonna love the bowtech from what i hear, let me know

Can not comment on the compounds as I am a recurve guy, but I know folks who own all the aforementioned makers, and most are happy with them. I have bought only Remington Arms since a kid. My great uncle willed me his Mod. 29 pump 12 he used for grouse in PA. I have a picture of a buddy and him with his lever .35 1895 Remington- if I remember correctly, in deer camp with a nice buck circa 1920. I do covet Mike's 7 mm Ultra Mag!!

Mike,
You and Will should come on a hunt with me and Jamie (from Missiouri), I'm telling you , you better wear protection cuz the birds will attack you when you call.

I shoot a new Hoyt but my second option was Bowtech...great bows i just liked how the Hoyt fit me
Easton arrows

Primos calls are nice although i have many different calls

My first thought is wow, Remington sure racked up. I know they have a great tradition, and are classic standbys that perform consistently and are a great value. I wonder if the affordability of Remingtons has a lot to do with this.

I think most folks would rather have a Browning or Beretta shotgun over a Remington 870, but I have the 870 for one reason: it didn't cost me an arm and a leg. Similarly my model 700 deer rifle didn't cost me what a TC, CZ, or Browning would have, but it gets the job done.

Optics? I have Leupold, but my next purchase will be Nikon.

I must not be a real hunter...

The only thing on the list I have is some remington ammo...and that's just because they make the cheapest steel I can find, and I have a hard time finding winchester .410 loads for rabbit...

I'll take mossberg, PSE, CVA, Smith and Wesson, Beman, Magnus, M.A.D. calls, gerber, and scent shield...

Remington makes the best bolt action rifle, model 700, if it is good enough for our military snipers to use , it is good enough for me. I own several 700P, 700 LTR, 700 BDL. Muzzy broad heads are the only replaceable three blade I will ever use. I believe Mathews is the best bow on the market and if not for them some of these other manufacturers would have gone under a long time ago.( everyone copies them) Federal Ammo and remington ammo. Easton arrows. Mossberg shotguns. Hunters specialties scent eliminating products, Glock hand guns, DPMS AR 15, Primos game calls, how can you not love will and his crew, good Christian folk. Knife Charles May custom or Tops tom brown tracker. Leupold scopes and trijicon ACOG.

I agree Remington does make a good product, but to say they are the best is not fair and a bit biased.
