Top Hunting Image of the Year

Poking around over at mossyoak.com I ran across this picture that was posted by a guy with the user name “neteets.” His profile says he is a veteran of Iraq. He supports a lot of conservation organizations. He loves camping, fishing, shooting and deer hunting.

That image speaks volumes about what is good about America, doesn’t it? Thank you, sir, for your service, you are a hero in my book in more ways than one. comment

If you stop and think about it, there are very few other countries in the world where the common man has the opportunity to hunt like we do in America. It may not always be this way, but that is something worth fighting for domestically and abroad.

Beautiful picture. And on the Eve of Independence Day? Sweet! Thanks for your service Sir!

My only question...

How could that little huntress pull the trigger, or draw the bow?

JK, of course!

Not to change the subject, but I see where the wolves in MI, WI, and MN are going back on the endangered species list because of a screeup by the Feds. This accounts for about 4,000 wolves. Why don't they just declare them game animals and set a season and limit methods to gun or bow, and set a limit? Although I, personally, would not hunt wolves I see no reason not to have a season on this primary predator. As long as they are not rendered extinct.

Last night my wife and I took in a Cardinal ball game at Busch Stadium and during the pre-game they
paid tribute to 10 soldiers who had served in either Iraq or Afgan and suffered an amputation. There was nine that had lost a leg and one that lost an arm. They were on the upright 2 wheel scooter and it was awesome.
the place erupted with a standing ovation and the attendence was 37,000 and never the less you could look arond and a few people kept their seats, PISS ME OFF. Then I realize they weren't deer hunters, they wre just people who take our way of life for granted, don't realize that people such as these men make the sacrifices just so they can sit there fat a--es at this event and enjoy thereselves.
To you sir I say THANK YOU for your service to this great nation and it's people. I grew up in the Viet Nam era and I couldn't imagine going to war and leaving my family for a year, but people did it and are still doing it.
GOD BLESS YOU ALL.
